Our Year: 2011

January 2011
*{P} returned to college after 6 years! (And made a 3.75 GPA!!)

February 2011
*All new HVAC unit installed. What a difference this has made in our electricity & gas bills!

March 2011
*{P} got his Miata!
After he put in HID headlights
April 2011
*Bad tornadoes hit the Raleigh area. Thankfully they passed by our house, leaving us basically untouched! Once things settled down, we headed out to survey the damage around town.

May 2011
*{L} scheduled surgery for a hernia repair but cancelled it when we...
*...Found out we were going to parents!!!!!
*Fun weekend with our nieces, Lauren & Emily, who were spending it with Nonny & Pop Pop!

*{P}'s best friend Baxter graduated from NC State!

June 2011
*Mudcats game with Sara & friends!

July 2011
*Roadtrip with Mom & Paul to visit family in NY!!
*4th of July fireworks in NY with 2 of my cousins, Alexis & Amy!


*After telling our immediate family in May and extended family in July, we publicly announced that {L} was pregnant!
*{P} tiled the kitchen & laundry room floor with the help of his Dad

August 2011
*Found out that Baby was going to be a BOY, "Gabriel Turner Whitaker"!!!
*{P} turned 27

September 2011

October 2011
*NC State Fair (and the Kellie Pickler concert) with my Dad & Kar!

*First baby shower- at {L}'s Mom's house in Chapel Hill!

November 2011
*Celebrated two years of marriage with my love!!!
*Annual family photo shoot
*2nd baby shower/{P}'s first- a co-ed one at my in-law's neighborhood clubhouse!


*Thanksgiving in Fayetteville, NC with my Dad's side of the family (the Durr's)
*{L} turned 26

December 2011
*Finished the nursery for our little boy
*Celebrated Christmas on a few different occasions: the 23rd w/ {L}'s Mom & Paul, Christmas Day just the 2 of us, 28th w/ {L}'s Dad & Kar, and the 31st with {P}'s parents! 
*Quiet New Years Eve at home!


Now we are eagerly awaiting our little boy's arrival sometime in January!!! I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store for our little family!!!
