Weeks 25-28

Size of baby: cauliflower --> head of lettuce --> rutabaga --> eggplant. February 17-March 10.

Gender: little GIRL!!! Georgia Jane.

Total Weight Gain: 18 pounds.

Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants and a mix of regular & maternity tops. My maternity wardrobe has been the same as when I was pregnant with Gabriel, with the addition of a few new tops I received as Christmas gifts. But for the warmer months coming, I bought 3 pairs of shorts- jean, khaki & black!

Movement: The strength and frequency of her movements is increasing! She moves more when I'm resting (at work- while I'm sitting charting, at home- while I'm sitting on the couch or laying on my left side next to Gabriel reading a bedtime story!)

What I miss: Cold deli meat sandwich {one day after church, Perry & I were trying to decide where to go for lunch. I very definitively announced I was in the mood for a "sandwich-and-a-pickle kind of place" (like Jason's or McAlister's). There's no place like that near our house so we ended up getting Japanese take-out at Hibachi & Co. Oh, the unpredictable tastes of a pregnant woman!}

Symptoms:
Week 25- Incredible nail growth
Week 26- Braxton Hicks contractions started!
Week 27- 3rd trimester!!! Trouble sleeping (suddenly wide awake & hungry in the middle of the night, then have a hard time falling back asleep); right hip and lower back pain
Week 28- Right hip soreness and stiffness; cramps in my calves; not sleeping well (a few nights I was up every hour for several hours in a row)

Doctor's Appointments:
I had my glucose tolerance test at my 28 week appointment. It seemed easier to drink it this time, maybe because I'd done it before (or because I was being dramatic the first time with Perry with me! Hah!)

Cravings: Pickles. Fresh fruit, like pineapple! Ice water.

Best moments: Completing the kids' summer wardrobes! We tried another consignment sale and were pleased with the great deals we got on quality items!!! Between two sales, we spent ~$120 on Gabriel (16 shorts/pants, 30 shirts, 4 pajamas, 4 pairs of shoes, swim trunks, Body Glove wet suit) and ~$150 on Georgia (33 onesies, 21 shorts/pants, 10 shirts, 14 dresses/rompers, 16 sleep 'n plays, 2 hats and 4 no-scratch mittens).

What we are looking forward to: Baby "Sprinkle" next month; I'm already to the point where I have OB appointments every 2 weeks!; Making progress on her nursery!
