Plumbing Project
Our house is over 50 years old. Some things just don't work like they once did... in 1955!
Our shower used todrip run water from the faucet even after the hot & cold knobs were tightly turned off. Since it's our only shower, Perry decided we couldn't afford to ignore it any longer in case it became a bigger problem! My closet backs up to the shower, so I completely emptied it and Perry cut away the drywall. He changed the height of the shower head {he could not stand up straight under it!} and converted it to just one control instead of 3. It looks so good!!! Perry did a great job.
Now all that's left to do is finish patching the hole, touch-up paint, and make an access panel for the wall in my closet in case of future plumbing issues! The pink stuff in the drywall^ is Spackle that has not yet dried. I plan on buying a suction-cup shower caddy (or two!) instead of the hook kind in the "before" picture.

The new shower knob arrangement is certainly much better. Having a single knob controller is a lot better than having multiple because that will reduce the hassle of turning it from hot to cold. Your husband does seem very good in fixing plumbing system. He did great in this project.

It’s good that Perry is knowledgeable about plumbing repairs. That’s also quite a detailed repair plan. However, for more complicated plumbing problems, it’s good to get help from professionals. This helps prevent plumbing problems from worsening. By the way, good job to both of you!
Yeah, it could have been a bigger problem if you ignored it. Exchanging the three shower knobs for one knob controller is smart idea. That way, future repairs would be easier because you only have one knob to repair or replace. Anyway, kudos to Perry for his great job!
Plumbing is a skilled work that involves working with tubing, plumbing fixtures, and pipes for drainage water system and drinking water system. Plumbers are the people who generally repair or install plumbing fixtures.
