Interesting Facts: Week 15- Your little one is now roughly the size of an apple. She is about 4 inches long and weighs about 2 ½ ounces. Her legs are now longer than her arms and her bones are getting harder and stronger! At 15 weeks, her skin is still thin and transparent, but she has developed a thin layer of hair to help protect her body. This layer of hair is called lanugo and it is present on every part of your baby's body, even her finger nails! She is also moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract. This action helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. And even though her eyes will remain fused shut until approximately 26 weeks, she can actually sense light in your womb!
Week 16- Your baby continues to be busy growing and developing inside of you. He's now about the size of an avocado^, measuring approximately 4 1/2 inches and weighing roughly 3 ounces. His heart is now pumping 25 quarts of blood every day and his bladder is emptying every 45 minutes.
His limbs are even more developed and their movements have become increasingly coordinated. He doesn't have any hair yet but the patterning of his scalp has begun. What's in the future for your little one? A growth spurt is just around the corner! In the coming weeks he will double his weight and add inches to his frame.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Another pound a week or so for a total of ~8 lbs. People at work started commenting on my growing bump around Week 15. And a stranger asked me if I was pregnant- woo!

Maternity Clothes: Mostly regular tops, regular shorts (only 2 pairs still fit!), and maternity jeans.

Gender: We find out in 3 weeks!!!

Movement: I felt something here & there starting yesterday morning, Friday 8/5. They feel like "flicks" from inside, but almost tingly like a nerve... Baby, is that you?!

What I miss: Mexican queso dip.

Sleep: Is. Good... and lots of it!

Symptoms: Hungry-nausea continues. Itchy belly. Still some acne. Back/posterior hip pain.

Cravings: Seafood (fish). I need to branch out and learn to cook fish at home. Perry & I had lunch at The Mayflower earlier this week. If we're planning on eating out but need to decide where, he always asks me where I want to go... {and he is not crazy about The Mayflower.} So thoughtful!

Best moment of the week: Visiting Perry's sis, bro-in-law and our nieces in Concord to celebrate Little Lauren's birthday! We originally went on Sunday 7/31 but made it half way before the "Check Engine" and "VTM-4" lights came on in Perry's Mom's car. The dealership advised us to bring it in as soon as possible, so back to Cary we went. Sad day :( We made it there on our second try this past Monday!

What we are looking forward to: The Fall semester starting for Perry's electrical classes; Perry's birthday!; Finding out is Baby Dub is a little boy or a little girl!!!
